22/01612/FLH Two-storey side extension, increase in roof height to create additional habitable accommodation served by front and side windows and rooflights, alterations to fenestration including relocation of entrance door following demolition of existing single storey projections.

This proposal seeks to address the reasons why the previous application (21/01649/FLH) was refused, but in the opinion of the Society is very little changed. The height, bulk and massing remain excessive in its location, and the ecological damage to what is presently a sylvan environment is significant, but uncertain in the absence of a proper ecological survey and impact statement. In addition, the proposed construction process on such a site would also be of concern. A Construction Management Plan would need to be tabled and approved by all parties. Special care would need to be taken on tree and habitat protections. In the event of permission being granted, the Society suggests that this Plan be required as a Condition.

Accordingly, refusal of this application too is suggested.
