Development of a 150 room dementia care home, nursing home and Assisted Living Extra Care units (Class C2) Resubmission, with associated landscaping and car parking.

The part of the Nescot site currently used for animal husbandry was the subject of two planning applications: the first, for 91 houses, has been approved after modifications to address concerns raised by the Society and local residents.

The second for a care home for up to 150 people was initially refused, and then appealed, the Council withdrawing three of its four reasons for refusal. The application’s resubmission aims to deal with the remaining reason for refusal by repositioning the buildings – including increasing the landscape buffers, reworking massing and rooflines and reworking elevations.
