19/00224/FLH Two storey side extension. Part single storey rear extension.
36 The Parade is a locally listed cottage situated in a splendid location, within the Church Street Conservation Area. The proposed extensions are out of keeping with the locale, overbearing for one neighbour, and a conspicuous amendment to the street scene.
The Society objected strongly to the application, but despite the Church Street Conservation Area Article 4 Direction 2011 stating within the schedules that the property cannot be enlarged nor that the roof can be extended, the application was permitted.
See our letter here.
Furthermore, the although the application was apparently validated on 14th March it did not seem to appear on the website until early April, and our objection letter dated 29th April was reported as having been made on 7th May and in support of the application rather than objecting to it. So we have written a further letter expressing our concern and requesting a review and possible overturning of the decision.
