A trip by coach to Bletchley Park was enjoyed by more than 50 members. We were given lunch and a guided tour round the site of one of WW2’s most secret activities, where the German Enigma codes and others were monitored and broken, thus providing invaluable intelligence for the war effort. The feats of both intellect and engineering performed by those working there during the war impressed us all. The site now also holds the National Museum of Computing, with many examples of old information technology.
