A previous scheme for this redevelopment (13/00562/OUT) was refused for a number of reasons but the subsequent appeal was dismissed for the sole reason that the rear block impacted unsatisfactorily on houses in Middle Close.
A subsequent application setting the rear block further back in response to the Inspector’s criticism, but otherwise the same design, was also refused and again appealed. This fifth application further amends the proposal to reflect the reason for refusal.
The Society continues to believe that the proposal is unsatisfactory, but accepts that the Inspector’s decision on the previous appeal leaves little room for rejection of this latest proposal.
