14/00651/OUT Haddad House
Outline application (access, appearance, layout and scale) for erection of 6×2 bed flats, retention of existing access together with associated external works following demolition of existing building.
The previous scheme for this redevelopment (13/00562/OUT) was refused for a number of reasons but the subsequent appeal was dismissed for the sole reason that the rear block impacted unsatisfactorily on houses in Middle Close.
In the present application the rear block has been set back in response to the Inspector’s criticism, otherwise the design is the same. The Society continues to believe that the proposal is overdevelopment, but accepts that the Inspector’s decision on the previous appeal leaves little room for rejection of this proposal.
