22/00959/FUL Erection of two storey 2 bedroom detached house with ancillary car parking.
In response to a request from the Highways Authority, the applicant has resubmitted the application, including a revised application form and a more detailed proposed site plan. This prompted a further review of the revised application by the Society.
Consequently, the Society has lodged a further objection comment via the EEBC Planning website, the relevant text of which is shown below:-
“Noted that a revised application form dated 25 October 2022 has been submitted.
At box 14 on the application form in answer to the question “Existing Use”, the description is “Part of Large Rear Garden”. That’s not the full picture as this area is used for car parking for the existing house of No.124. By granting approval to the application, the property of No.124 Hook Road will be devoid of off street parking which is extremely undesirable.
Application 22/008177/FLH, which was submitted in parallel with 22/00959/FUL to provide a cross-over from Hook Road to front garden of No.124 has recently (19 October 2022) been refused. Epsom Civic Society support the refusal.
Accordingly, therefore, refusal of the current application is requested, inter alia, on the grounds that No.124 Hook Road will be devoid of on site parking.”
