23/00577/FUL Demolition of residential dwelling at 6A Bucknills Close and the construction of six residential units (1 x 2-bed, 2 x 3-bed and 3 x 4-bed) (Class C3) together with car parking, landscaping and access arrangements.
This unusual proposal involves closing off the existing access for 6a Bucknills Close to create a new development of six houses to be accessed via an existing long driveway to Whitehorse Drive, apparently owned by the owner of Nos 11 and 13 Whitehorse Drive, who has objected to the proposal.
The Society considers the proposal inappropriate to its setting and “back to front”, as well as being overdevelopment amounting to “Town Cramming”. Other issues include lack of adequate access for waste collection, impact on neighbours in Bucknills Close and Whitehorse Drive, as well as inadequate parking provision for the number of dwellings proposed.
Refusal of permission has therefore been requested.
