18/01556/FUL Change of use to D2 (Cinema), Proposed roof extension for auditoria and plant enclosure.

This application proposes the creation of a new 6 screen Picture House cinema over the existing restaurant at 5 Derby Square.

While the Society believes a cinema in this location would be a positive asset to the town centre, we do have reservations about the proposed height and bulk of the building, and have therefore questioned the need for all six auditoria.
