Erection of 4 detached 4-bedroom houses with garages and associated access and landscaping.

This proposal is backland development to infill land behind some large properties on Links Road. The Society is concerned about the proposal for a number of reasons, including the number of new properties, the impact on the neighbours and the natural environment and wildlife in view of the closeness of the proposed new houses to existing boundaries and the large number of mature trees existing on the property. Parking provision also seems inadequate for the development proposed, which implies two or more vehicles for each house. We have also referred to some design issues, and concluded that permission should be refused for the application in its present form.
