18/00117/FUL Erection of 4 bedroom dwelling.

While the Society seeks to support the development of equine activity within Epsom, this proposal for a dwelling for the stables manager and his family sites it at the centre of a small area of woodland and requires the removal of at least 10 trees. The development process itself would probably require further trees to be removed, and thereafter safety considerations and prevention of damage to the new building would require further tree loss.

We expressed concern at the impact on the local conservation area and suggested a condition ensuring that, if permission is granted, the occupation of the house is restricted to those involved in the running of the stables.
