17/00334/FUL Demolition of existing detached dwelling house and construction of a new detached dwelling house.
This application proposes a revised design for a new detached house following the refusal of the earlier proposal (16/01074/FUL) on grounds of incongruity with the prevailing dwelling typography and lack of information on drainage. The structure of the house would, as before, be made by Baufritz building systems but with the exterior design modified in an attempt to reflect the local typography in order to comply with Policy DM10.
These amendments remove much of the basis on which we objected to the previous proposal, although it would still be larger and bulkier than the existing property and we remain uncertain whether the appearance will be convincing or attractive. So we are reluctant to support the application and have suggested investigation or clarification of a few matters while the application is under consideration by the Council’s officers.
