This property is in the Downs Road Conservation area which is subject to a 2011 Article 4 Directive prohibiting any extension works to the frontages of any houses within the Downs Road Estate. The proposed extension would be clearly visible from the road.
Due to the dangerous precedent which would be set by allowing this application, the Society has recommended refusal.
