17/00256/FUL Demolition of existing building and redevelopment of the site to provide 8 two-bedroom and 2 three-bedroom flats in a three/four storey building with accommodation in a lower ground, ground, first and second floor arrangement, formation of a new access from Alexandra Road and the provision of ten parking spaces.
This application offers a revised design intended to deal with the reasons for the refusal of the earlier proposal (15/01770/FUL). The appeal against that refusal was dismissed.
The revised design adds nothing to the appeal of the proposed street scene, reduce the apparent bulk of the building, and moves the parking provision (one space too few to meet standards) to the front of the property. The Society does not believe the revision to be either an improvement or acceptable, and thus cannot support granting of permission.
