16/01325/FUL Erection of an apartment building comprising 2 three bed units and 2 one bed units with basement parking and cycle/residential storage – amended design
This is the third attempt to design a redevelopment of this site with an acceptable block of apartments and attempts to overcome the objections leading to refusal of previous applications.
While accepting that the current application is an improvement, the proposed building would occupy almost 100% of the plot, leaving little landscaping/greenery and has a number of unsatisfactory design features impacting the neighbouring property. Parking and access to the busy main road create further problems. The Society therefore recommended refusal.
